A bad phone

The fire phone was a good phone with bad execution of its good intentions and hence failed to generate any interest. The phone launched recently had to go through a lot of price cuts and still the consumers aren’t interested. The phone was launched exclusively for att consumers for $199 on contract.

Now the phone sells for $199 unlocked till Monday. This is an effort on part of Amazon to sell the phone to the consumers, it has reportedly has $90 million of unsold firephones in its ware house and has generated a staggering $140 million loss to the Amazon treasury. With the lack of apps or a ecosystem, this is bound to happen.
